SUSTAINABLE DESIGN
The architectural team of Lb architects emphasizes on the right procedure of the architectural study and always respecting the environment. For that reason the architectural study and the bioclimatic design of a building begins firstly from defining the building program and the needs of the building’s users, then analyzing the (micro)climate, leading to the definition of thermal comfort zones. Furthermore, what follows, is the investigation of building shape in relation to various factors (aesthetics, functional, orientation, integration with the overall architecture of surroundings etc.)
The architectural form that will emerge is studied in terms of orientation and thus the study of the respective aspects is done, the correct choice of sun protection and the materials. Then, after the previous stages have been successfully completed with the aim of reducing the demand for energy, comes the contribution of technology and intelligent cooling-heating systems with high efficiency. Finally, aiming at zero CO2 emissions, it is possible to study the integration of renewable energy sources in the building.
